Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Email address and authentication codes
• Device fingerprint and registered devices
• IP address (used for region and VPN/proxy detection, and watermarking)
• Purchase history and Stripe payment metadata
• Playback events: when you start, pause, resume, and finish watching

2. How we use it

To deliver the service, enforce regional licensing, prevent unauthorized redistribution, process payments, send transactional emails, and improve the platform. We do not sell personal information.

3. Watermarking

For each play session we generate a session identifier that is visibly displayed within the player and encoded in the video stream. This is used to identify the source of any redistributed content. The identifier does not display your full email or IP.

4. Sharing

We share data with: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database/auth), Resend (email), Backblaze (storage), BunnyCDN (delivery), Cloudflare (security and edge), IPQualityScore (VPN detection). All operate under their own privacy policies.

5. Retention

We retain account data while your account is open and for up to 7 years after closure for tax and legal compliance. Watermarking session records are retained for 24 months for piracy investigations.

6. Your rights (CCPA)

California residents may request access, deletion, or portability of personal information via privacy@ontalkies.com. We will respond within 45 days.

7. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
